The purpose of this study was to examine effects of cooperative learning on achievement of computer aided design (CAD) instruction at mechatronics department in industrial high school through the post-test only control group design experiment. The results of the study mainly concluded the following; 1. For high-level of entering behavior students, there was no significant effect of cooperative learning on achievement in CAD instruction at the mechatronics department in industrial high school. 2. For low and middle leveled entering behavior students, there was significant effect of cooperative learning on achievement in CAD instruction at the mechatronics department in industrial high school. 3. For the understanding of technical drawing, `AutoCAD(R14)`, there was significant effect of cooperative learning on achievement in CAD instruction at the department in industrial high school. On the basis of results of the study, it is strongly recommended that the cooperative learning is encouraged for the CAD instruction in the area of technical drawing and `AutoCAD(R14)` for low and middle achievement students in industrial high school.
