This study is an attempt to investigate the secondary school students` attitude towards technology and technology textbooks which offers the information for the evaluation of teaching and learning. The purpose of the study was to examine how pupils perceived the meaning of technology and technology textbooks` and to analyze what factors were related to how the pupils perceived the meaning of technology and technology textbooks. The objectives of the research were posed as follows ; 1) To compare the students` attitude score of technology through the Semantic Differential Scales and to profile its score. 2) To compare the students` attitude score of technology textbooks through the Semantic Differential Scales and to profile its score. 3) To measure what is the relationship between boys` attitude factor score and girls` attitude factor score of technology. 4) To testify what is the relationship between boys` attitude factor score and girls` attitude factor score of technology textbooks. This study involves the students` attitude toward technology and technology textbooks as dependent variable, and sex as independent variable. The Subjects(N=200) were selected from junior high school, grade 1 and 2 students by the purposive sampling method. The data for the study was gathered through a survey questionnaire (Semantic Differential Scale for technology and technology textbook). The statistical package, SPSS PC+, was employed utilizing Factor Analysis and null hypotheses tested (t-tests) to determine possible relationships between sex. According to the result of the Semantic Differential Scale, the major findings of this study are as follows ; 1) For the attitude towards technology and technology textbooks, the male students` image of technology and technology textbooks are positive with an average score of 3. 2) For the attitude towards technology and technology textbooks, the female students` image of technology and technology textbooks are positive with an average score of 3 3) To measure the students attitude of technology, five factors are extracted through the factor analysis of the results. The name of the five factors are "interest", "beauty", "importance", "endurance", and "reconciliation" in order. 4) To measure the students attitude towards technology textbooks, five factors are extracted through the factor analysis of the results. The name of the five factors are "reconciliation - interest", "beauty", "practical", "intention", and "activity" in order. 5) Out of all of the factors the female students felt that factors 1 and 2 have a significant difference in meaning out of all of the female students chose factors 1 and 2 to be important in perceiving more when perceiving technology and technology textbooks. Female students thought that factors 1 and 2 were important com-pared to the male students. 6) Five factors were observed to have no significant effect on students` attitude towards technology textbooks in factor score.
