The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship between college players’ retirement anxiety and performance ability. To this end, the soccer players of the university team were selected as the population, and data from 233 players from the university soccer teams located in the three regions of Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon were collected, of which 14 copies, which had missing questions or lacked consistency in responses, were excluded. A total of 209 copies were used for final data analysis. Data were analyzed by applying frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equations through SPSS and Amos statistical programs. The results are as follows. First, the psychological state of college players had a negative effect on performance success ability, performance maturity ability, and psychological maturity ability, which are sub-factors of performance ability. Second, the occurrence of injury of college players had a positive (+) effect on performance success ability, performance maturity ability, and psychological maturity ability, which are sub-factors of performance ability. Third, the performance decline of college players had a negative effect on performance success ability, performance maturity ability, and psychological maturity ability, which are sub-factors of performance ability. Fourth, the characteristics of the sports of college players had a positive effect on performance success ability, performance maturity ability, and psychological maturity ability, which are sub-factors of performance ability.
