The digital network world is reshaping the lives of modern people. This study focused on the fact that fandom formed online show post-modern characteristics that respect individual differences and aim to dismantle traditional concepts. For this discussion, we first looked at the characteristics and communication methods of entities operating in the digital network world. Afterwards, the above-mentioned contents were extended to analyze the subjects of online fandom and their subjects, their cyberspace and information format, and the experiences of fandom individuals as a collective construct.
In terms of items, firstly, rhyzome subjects acquire inter-subjectiveness that actively engages with de-heroized heroes. Secondly, they voluntarily establish a space called cyber metropolis by using various SNS, and store, share, and reproduce information. The last is that the actions of the individuals by sharing in daily life progress toward the bond of emotion. M. Maffesoli once called a small group of post-modern societies, neo-tribus, resembling the tribes of ancient primitive societies.
In this context, this paper also emphasized that the entities of fandom, a tribe formed in the digital network world, also formed intimacy through sharing common (technical) territories and emotions, thus moving toward transcendental healing and social dynamics. It is quite interesting that the fandom of a postmodern society represented by technology resembles this lack of ancient primitive society.
