The purpose of this study is to build a strategies for establishing the public-private cooperative systems in Gyeonggi–Do. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, this study examine the theories and related literature on governance studies. Next, through the process of analyzing the case of Seoul city, this study aims to derive the implications of the private-private cooperative systems. Third, this study evaluate the policy environment of Gyeonggi-do and investigate and analyze the perceptions of related actors. Based on this analysis, the study propose the policy system and projects for establishing Gyeonggi-do public-private cooperative systems.
In conclusion, this study proposes the following policy suggestions. The first is that it is necessary to draw up social consensus in order to promote the private sector. The next step is to establish mid-and long-term planning and implementation and secure institutional capacity. Third, to ensure the effectiveness of the system operation, the operating system should be restructured. Lastly, it should be emphasized that cooperation with local councils and restoration of trust among key actors should be continuously pursued.
