Seonma(宣麻) is an act of proclaiming a document to the bureaucracy to appoint high-ranking official posts. So Seonma-ui(宣麻儀) is a ceremony to proceed to the Seonma. In the early Goryeo dynasty, only high-ranking posts in the Chancellery such as chancellor(門下侍中), is the object of this ritual. In this article, I tried to examine the ritual feature of 'Seonma-ui(宣麻儀)'. I compared this ritual with the ritual of appointing a senior official in the Tang Dynasty ; I used the procedure and place of ritual as a comparative element. As a result, it was confirmed that the ritual structure of Koryo was basically similar to that of Tang dynasty. It is also confirmed that the situation of Koryo is reflected, because the office to be ritual is different.
