The aim of this paper is to analyze the properties of quantifier phrases in Korean and Polish language in order to help learners studying both Korean and Polish as a foreign language to understand their structures and use them correctly. The quantifier phrases(QPs) in Korean in contrast with Polish can be expressed with various syntactic structures. There are two parallel sets of numerals used in Korean, one of (Korean) native origin and one of Chinese origin, called Sino-Korean numerals. As a result of that the quantifier phrases(QPs) are more complicated in Korean language than they are in Polish. Moreover the usage of Sino-Korean numerals and native ones is differentiated by their concord with classifiers. That is why Korean language learners find their correct usage so difficult. In comparison with Korean, QPs in Polish are expressed with simpler syntactic structures, however words within one QP as well as within one sentence need to have morphological agreements according to number, case, and gender. That is the reason why Polish language learners find the agreement of the above mentioned grammatical categories difficult to understand and use correctly. This study, on the basis of a comparative analysis, indicates the differences between QPs in both languages.
