This research intended to suggest 'Theory of Sublimation' of 'Jean-Francois Loytard' as the core viewpoint to understand modern dance. first, modern dance is a work to reveal a new form of those which cannot be reenacted by focusing on the essence of movement. This characteristic meets 'negative depiction' of sublimation. this characteristic includes 'meta kinesis' that means the expansion to a certain mental area that is impossible to express. this way, arouse different emotions, and are put in a new state of emotion by colliding into each other. This is possible to understand with 'enhancement of existence' of sublimation.
