Jean Francois Zevaco is considered to be one of, if not, the most emblematic figures of the modernist architecturalmovement in Morocco. His legacy is important in terms of the number of projects he built across the country, the diversity ofhis work, and the influence he had on local and international-based architects. His architecture is not only widely and criticallyacclaimed, but it is also being studied locally and is widely regarded as having successfully met Morocco's needs during thepost-colonization period. His work is significant because it serves as an essential reference for the majority of Moroccanarchitects who came after him. It is known in the architectural niche that Jean Francois Zevaco was heavily influenced by LeCorbusier's design strategies, especially 'Les 4 Compositions'. In this sense, this paper is examining the correlation betweenJean Francois Zevaco's form making strategy and Le Corbusier's 'Les 4 Compositions'. By using the method of architecturaldrawings utilizing floor plans, elevations, sections and axonometries, the study of the spatial and formal characteristics of asample of Zevaco's projects throughout the years is carried on simultaneously with an analysis of Le Corbusier's 'Les 4Compositions' design strategies. The main purpose of examining how Jean Francois Zevaco followed 'Les 4 Compositions' is tohave a deeper base to refer to when trying to understand Jean Francois Zevaco's projects. Consequently, the findings of thisresearch are essential for future architects wishing to follow Jean Francois Zevaco's established principles and to understandthe architectural source of his inspiration.
