The contents of the book are interesting. He recorded the ecology of fishes and the local customs in the Uhae-ieobo. While he was exiled in Buryong and Jinhae, he took interest in wide encyclopedic knowledge. Especially he had a vast stock of knowledge in the living necessaries. After he returned from the place of exile, he grew vegetables and fruits, flowers in his farm and garden. Manseonwainggo, the collection of poems is based on his actual experience of growing vegetables and fruits, flowers. In addition he wrote the poems on the theme of the living necessaries. In this collection of poems, he wrote the poems in his own way which was annotated. Annotations of the poems have a strong resemblance to kinds of Mulbo, categorical explanations of things. Kim-Ryo's poems are lyric and sensitive on the theme of his every day lives. He expresses vegetables and fruits which he had grow and eaten every day. He expresses flowers which he had grow and watched every day. He expresses living necessaries which he had used every day. These poems show the change of lyric poem under the influence of wide encyclopedic knowledge and practical science.
