Effective community policing has a positive impact on reducing neighborhood crime, helping to reduce fear of crime and enhancing the quality of life in the community. It accomplishes these things by combining the efforts and resources of the police, local government and community members. Community policing is a collaborative effort between the police and the community that identifies problems of crime and disorder and involves all elements of the community in the search for solutions to these problems. It is founded on close, mutually beneficial ties between police and community members. At the core of successful community policing are community engagement and lasting partnerships. The purpose of this study is to explore the enhancing of multi-agency partnership network for successful community policing cooperation in Korea. Especially, explores innovative ways to gain confidence of community policing cooperation network, increase network's members participation, network management and operation strategy, and partner * Korea National Police University, Police Science Institute Senior Research Officer with community members to solve local safety problems. And this study suggests that strategies for mobilizing the community members to work collaboratively with police and other key service providers to solve or reduce problems related to crime, order maintenance. This article advocates that in order to ensure broader stakeholder participation in local policing cooperation network and enhancing local safety for successful community policing implementation.
