Maybe, our country will begin to excavate and explore the inside of Wolseong Castle in the future, as new techniques such as underground radar exploration appear; nobody can deny that now researches on the castle began in a full scale. But, as shown from all of the new researches, so existing researches may go through staying mistakes without an accurate understanding. This thesis scrutinized some problems at several views. First of all, this thesis arranged various research fruits which proceeded on the inside space of Wolseong Castle and found that the fruits had an influence on looking into Wolseong Castle continuously. On the basis of the examination, this thesis introduced a view of understanding North Gate to be the main, and demonstrated that North Gate was built not with only one gate, but with three gates. In addition this thesis researched the existence of five gate system together with the position of royal palaces. Next, this thesis studied the differences of research views on respective royal palaces inside of Wolseong Castle as well as the views which regarded latent problems as occurred at the center of Tang's effects and as occurred at the center of the Age of WeiJinNanBei dynasties palace styles. This research gave this author a chance of understanding Wolseong Castle from views different a little, depending on respective recognitions, and also a chance of understanding that they were making restoring plans different each other, on the basis of understandings on recognitions. But, this author could make sure that the directions researches headed for revealed clearly gradually. The directions are the expansion processes of Silla royal palaces’ expansion and recognitions on the positions that building gatherings, which formed in the processes, have. The changes of the recognitions will make Silla appear, which coped with the situations at that time actively, escaping from the views of regarding the dynasty as closed and special as before and accepting new cultures positively.
