The area of Gwanbuk-ri, site, where relics of Baekje Dynasty located, has optimal condition for residing citizens of Buyea in the Buyea Eup area as well as for Sabig Castle as its location, and in terms of terrain, the surrounding area of the present Gwanbuk-ri site seated on the relatively larger mountain ridge compare to the mud layer or ridge that trespasses central area of relics site, could have made difficult in building of Palace construction.
Therefore, in such geographical reason, the Gwanbuk-ri site has a possibility to be the central location of Royal Palace before, and has taken shape different from in terms of placement or its flat shape compare to Wangsung in China or Wanggung-ri Site, in Iksan.
Of course, certain limit could be existed due to the scope of excavations being surveyed, but the existence of exhumed relics, the size & characteristics of which that could not be found in other sites of Sabigung Palace, raises the possibility of this being the center area of the Palace.
The study didn"t cover the expansion areas within Palace, and subsequent problem of the time frame of level of earth layers, as well as specific manufacturing method and its time period of excavated relics since it focused with respect to the center area of the Palace through terrain condition & placement of exhumed relics. however, apart from the problem of earth layer or the time frame of exhumed relics, it appears to be, if not exact in such period, there existed intended central area of Palace in time the removal of the Palace when the palace area was expanded, thus the expansion of related facilities was happened within that area as well.
However, such opinion is not based upon the overall excavation results of Sabi Castle as such in some cases, there are few that depended on guess works.
It is hoped to be resolved the questions and mysteries of Sabigung Palace as well as Sabi Castle from the forthcoming excavation of inside Sabi Castle and and its subsequent results.
