Inv(16)(p13q22)는 형태학적으로 호산구의 증가가 있는 급성골수단핵구성백혈병과 연관되어 있으며 주로 1차성 AML에서발견되는 염색체 이상으로 치료 관련성 AML (therapy-relatedAML; t-AML)에서는 매우 드물게 관찰된다. 저자들은 난소의장액낭샘암종(serous cystadenocarcinoma)으로 알킬화약물인cisplatin과 항유사분열제인 paclitaxel로 복합화학요법을 받은 환자에서 inv(16)을 동반한 t-AML 1예를 경험하였기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.
