The purpose of this study was to examine the learning styles of science gifted/talented(G/T) students by gifted/talented division and gender. Subjects were 119 G/T students in science : mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and earth science. They are learners of Science Education Institute for the Gifted. The instrument to survey learning styles was Learning Style Profile(LSP), which was developed by NASSP(National Association of Secondary Style Principals). It consists of four categories(cognitive skills, perceptual response, orientation and learning preference) and twenty-four subscales. Science G/T students have much higher scores of spatial skill and memory skill, but they have lower scores of discrimination skill than other cognitive skills. The score level in night of study time preference is higher, and that of temperature preference and grouping preference was lower than other learning preferences. The score level of persistence orientation was higher. There are significant difference of sequential processing skill and memory skill by talented division, and visual response, emotive response, posture preference, mobility preference, and lighting preference by gender. The results of this survey suggested in science education for gifted/talented students that it should be to approach educationally considering learning styles and traits of them, because there is gender and talented division difference of learning styles.
