In this article, we investigate the research trends of communication strategies that can solve the difficulties of communication, and examined teaching methods in Korean language education. The study of communication strategies in Korean language education focuses mainly on the communication strategies and preference patterns of learners in the classroom, based on the classification of Doreyei (1997). It also deals with differences in the use of strategies due to variables such as learner 's native language background, target language achievement and level, and learner personality. The previous study deals with communication strategies between learner and instructor. Since learner is ultimately a conversation partner between Korean learner and Korean learner, we analyze examples in everyday life rather than in classroom . Communication strategies are useful for attaining the goal of Korean language education and should be included in the contents of education. In other words, the communication strategy is insufficient in the target language, but it can be solved well and it is possible to communicate smoothly with other people. To do this, communication strategies need to be reflected in textbooks, assessment items, and teaching methods.
