Teaching pronunciation aims to monitor our own pronunciation and to pronounce korean like a standard language speaker when we speak in everyday lives. Pronunciation education should enable learners to correct their own sounds and apply ‘Standard Pronunciation Regulations ― the standard language of present day Seoul Korean’ based on school grammar to their real lives : In this thesis, I am going to propose the significant ways of these matters. In this paper, I proposed various teaching-learning methods in Pronunciation education, which are based on Ausubel’s ‘Meaningful reception learning’. Meaningful reception learning through visual material is more efficient than ‘discovery learning’ which is often used in learning new concepts and principles. Meaningful reception learning means understanding each stipulation of ‘Standard Pronunciation Regulations’ by ‘the cognitive strategy activator’, and then getting used to ‘the summarizer’ available in everyday lives. Finally, learners can be skilled at ‘the synthesizers’ describing steps for the existing Standard Pronunciation Regulations.
