A Study on the Experience of Loyaltyin the Classic Poetry EducationKo, Young-HwaThis study is on the experience education of the classic poetry like the poems of Jung Mong-Ju(정몽주) and Sung Sam-Mun(성삼문), whose themes especially are loyalties.These poems have been taught for a long time at the various levels of schools, but the focus of these poems has been on the knowledge about loyalty, not its experience.While the poem of Jung Mong-Ju(정몽주) has the character of self-devotion, the one of Sung Sam-Mun(성삼문) has the character of resolute spirit. So the difference as well as commonness of themes has to be recognized.In this context, this article analyzes the nature of the loyalty experience and shapes the contents of the experience education of the loyalty poems. The experience education should be aimed at enhancing self-devotion in elementary schools, deepening self-independence in middle schools, and appreciating the sublime humanity in high schools.The purpose of this study is to contribute to designing the experience- focused education of the loyalty poems. With this work, experiencing past poet- ry can be interesting and meaningful to develop insight into life and history.
