The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the self-rating creativity factors of college students majoring in health science on their past, present and future major competencies. A self-administered survey was conducted from November 1 to 15, 2017, and the answer sheets from 284 respondents were gathered and analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: As for general characteristics including gender and creativity factors, the men were ahead of the women in terms of every creativity factor. By age, there was a tendency that their scores become higher with age, and statistically significant differences were found especially in imagination, originality, sensitivity, fluency, flexibility and total creativity areas. 2. Regarding general characteristics including gender and major competency, the female students were more excellent in past competency, and the male students were better at current competency and future competency. As to learning style, the morning people were statistically significantly more excellent in past competency, future competency and total major competency. 3. Among creativity factors, flexibility and sensitivity(r=.835) areas were most closely correlated to present competency and future competency(r=.777) among the subfactors of major competency. Total major competency become better when knowledge factor that was one of creativity factors was better. 4. As a result of making a stepwise multiple regression analysis to determine which creativity factors affected major competency, total major competency was under the influence of knowledge and elaboration, and past major competency was affected by elaboration, imagination and sensitivity. Current major competency was under the influence of creativity and imagination, and future major competency was affected by knowledge and originality.
