This study is to investgate the youth attitude toward life and death. For this study, we obtained data from 341 students in middle and high school of Chungcheongnam-do. The findings are as follows : First, their attitude toward life meaning was normal( M=3.14 ). That is, their life purpose( M=3.32) and life pleasure ( M=2.97) are normal. But their aittude toward life is different by variables such as school grade, academic achivement, and family atmosphere. Second, their attitude toward death was also normal( M=3.13). That is, their death acceptance ( M=3.32) and death axiety ( M=3.24) are normal. But their aittude toward death is different by variables such as school grade and family atmosphere. Third, their attitude toward life and death had a correlation. That is, their attitude towad life meaning has a positive (+) correlation with death anxiety and death acceptance. But it has a negative (-) correlation with their attitude toward suicide. And their attitude toward life purpose also has a positive correlation with death acceptance and death anxiety. But it has a negative correlation with attitude toward suicide.
