A Study on the Death-related Attitude in Undergraduate Students

Purpose: This study was to identify the death-related attitude in undergraduate students. Method: The subjected were 932 one university students. This study was conducted to March 2005. The data was collected by questionnaires and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, χ2-test. Result: Death-related attitude in undergraduate students was negative in acceptance and meaning, displeasure in emotional response and pursuit comfort in situation of death confront. Death-related attitude(experience of thinking about death, death is punishment of guilt, death is fearful, tell an another about your death) in undergraduate students was significant differences in sex, religion, majoring-related health among general characteristic. Experience of thinking about death was differences in sex and religion. Death is punishment of guilt was differences in majoring-related health and death is fearful was differences in sex, majoring-related health. Tell an another about your death was differences in majoring-related health. Conclusion: These findings indicated that the death education program to convert positive mind from negative mind death-related attitude in undergraduate students.
