Report Errors
There has been a public debate on the issue of accepting refugees globally in 21st century. Refugees who have left home due to the civil war of Yemen are coming to Jeju island recently. Yemen has been undergoing an intense civil war for years. This research discover the developing the process of Yemeni civil war and the involvement of surrounding countries, including process of Houthi insurgency within timeline of the Yemeni civil war as well as analysis of foreign countries’ involvement.
Millions of people are in the catastrophic condition under the ongoing war in Yemen of the Arabian Peninsula. Indeed, the Yeman issue is a proxy war for overall Sunnis of Saudi Arabia and Shiite of Iran conflict. The Houthis militia and the Yemeni government have been in a sporadic battle escalated to international conflict since in September 2014, the Houthi rebel took control of Sana"a.
This paper adapted some condition of multinational interventions in Yemen’s civil war as a main topic to survey through the humanitarian situation with refugees and evacuation situation and challenges and disasters of Yemen’s refugees. This paper composed with analysis on the causes of civil war and policy implications for the governance of Yemen refugees in Korea.
