Some relevant logicians accept the ‘Correspondence Thesis’ and some others do not. Anderson and Belnap are the representatives of the first position and Mares is the representative of the second position. In conditional logic, the inference rules Transitivity, Antecedent strengthening, and Contraposition have been considered as problematic inferences. Following this tradition, Mares rejects the ‘Correspondence Thesis’. In this paper, we verify that Mares’s rejection is not acceptable. For this, we first argue that the counter-examples to such inferences introduced by Mares are not real counter-examples. Second, unlike Mares, we argue that those rules are acceptable from a relevant logical point of view.
