Every moment is a moment of beginning. As we are in the ever-changing world, each moment cannot be substituted by anything. Each being has its own unique quality, so there is neither superior nor inferior thing except from the relative viewpoint. The word ‘Beauty’ starts with the ‘Be’, meaning ‘existence’. Therefore, the whole existence can be construed as ‘Beauty’ itself as well. Both William Blake and a Zen monk Sungchol[性徹] realized the existence as the beauty itself. Blake said, “If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is—infinity.” Similarly, Sungchol tells us that each being is no less than a Buddha. So we can find that they had shared a similar view on the world even though they belonged to different religious traditions.
