Hidemitsu Tanaka was an author of "Buraiha" in the history of Japanese literature, but was not noticed as much as the mainstream writers of "Buraiha" such as Osamu Dazai, Ango Sakaguchi, and Sakunosuke Oda. However, the experiences in Korea, a Japanese imperialist colony that he experienced, are his unique experience, which other writers of "Buraiha" could not experience. Therefore, it is the key to identifying his literary world. In colonial Korea, he acted as a permanent secretary of the Korean Writers Association and left many works against the Korean colonization according to the National Policy Literature promoted by Japanese imperialism.
In this article, in the novel against the background of colonial Korea which Britain wrote, after the war, I will try to consider "drunken ship" which is a work of 1948. This work knows the atmosphere of colonial Korea. In addition, this work shows the way that the Korean Writers` Association, which led the Korean literary era at the time, and the Korean writers, the officials of the Korean writers, and the Japanese officials are as they are and their activities.
In this paper, I will try to pursue the reality of the colonial Korean literature at that time through the "Drunken Ship" and the activity aspects of literatians.
