This research aims at the empirical analysis on the impact of tourism resources influencing on the expected effects of the MICE tourism package development and perception gap between sampled two residents-group in and outside Jeju. First, all the residents either from and outside Jeju Island similarly showed their strong expectation that the differentiated development of MICE tourism packages is needed and will contribute to the income of local area. It implies that MICE tourism packages is not yet properly developed and differentiated in Korean market. Second, the most positive factors of tourism resources influencing "local income increase", "local brand enhancement", and "local society ties" were "theme oriented packages", "unique local foods", "Korean Wave related to the local", and "modern factors of gallery and exhibit." The statistical corelation was verified that these specific factors of tourism resources will contribute highly to the "local brand enhancement" in particular, which means the branding and positioning of those influencing tourism resources is very important. Third, there was a significant statistical difference in the aspect of the expected effects on "local income increase" and "local brand enhancement" that the mean values of residents from Jeju was much higher. That means the residents from Jeju feel urgently the necessity of the activation of local economy through the development of MICE tourism packages. It is confident that this research result would be the useful information to develop MICE tourism packages in Jeju.
