The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of CSV of Exhibition & Convention center on the social capital in the MICE industry and the performance of MICE organizations. To do that, an empirical survey targeting the stakeholder of BEXCO was carried out. A total 143 usable questionnaires were collected and used for the analysis.
In the results, CSV was found to have a significant impact on both trust and networking dimensions of social capital. However, economic value dimension was found to have a significant influence only on networking dimension while social value dimension was found to have significant impacts on both trust and networking. Both dimensions of social capital were found to have statistically significant impacts on the performance of MICE organizations although trust was found to have stronger impact compared to networking. The findings of the study empirically proved the effect of CSV in the MICE industry
