The purpose of study is to identify the relationship among personality traits on career decision making self-efficacy and the career preparation behavior of majored in tourism. The respondents were limited to university students who majored in tourism. Regarding the questionnaire copies for empirical research, researcher distributed a total of 200 copies from August 30 to Septemberl 30, 2017. The number of collected copies was 190 in total, from which 4 ineffective copies were excluded. Total 186 copies were used for an empirical analysis with SPSS 18.0. Hypotheses were examined using multiple regression analysis.
The results are summarized as follows. Personality traits has a positive significantly influence on carrer dicision making self-efficacy and has a positive significantly influence on career preparation behavior. Through these findings, this research implies when a professor conducts a consultation with a student, a program or questionnaire that identifies an individual"s personality type should be developed and a college-based career-counseling program should be developed in which a career decision and a career preparation behavior can be made according to the personality characteristics of a student.
