The objective of this study was to verify the effect of emotional labor on job burnout among daycare center’s teachers, and the moderating effect of the perceived organizational support between emotional labor and job burnout. For this study, a survey was performed on 350 teachers working in daycare centers located in southern Gyeonggi-do province and Incheon city. The final data was collected 289 teachers and used them for analysis. The result was as follows. First, Internalized behaviour, a sub-factor of emotional labor, had a negative effect on job burnout. Second, Surface behaviour, a sub-factor of emotional labor, had a positive effect on job burnout. Third, it was found that the perceived organizational support had a moderating effect between internalized behaviour, a sub-factor of emotional labor, and emotional exhaustion, a sub-factor of job burnout. But, the perceived organizational support had no moderating effect between internalized behaviour and cynicism or accomplishment decline, a sub-factor of job burnout. Forth, it was found that the perceived organizational support had a moderating effect between surface behaviour, a sub-factor of emotional labor, and emotional exhaustion, a sub-factor of job burnout. But, the perceived organizational support had no moderating effect between surface behaviour and cynicism or accomplishment decline, a sub-factor of job burnout. Based on those results, this study suggests some implications with discussions to reduce job burnout of daycare center’s teachers through improving the perceived organizational support.
