The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a children"s prosocial behavior development program, which provide basic data for developing the program. Relevant domestic studies that were conducted between 2005 and 2015 were analyzed, and 48 studies were selected. The overall effect size of the programs geared toward improving children"s prosocial behavior was 1.198, which indicated the size produced huge effects. Empathy and emotional control was also revealed as the highest effect factor among the sub-factors of children’s social behavior. In addition, four variables(i.e., target age, period of implementation, total number of implementations, and number of weekly implementations) had been determined as substantial moderator variables for the effect size of the program on promoting children’s prosocial behavior. The findings of the study provide meaningful implications for improving the quality of the study and effective application in the field.
