This study aims to investigate errors of Chinese Korean language learners using genitive particles focusing on presence or absence of it. Korean genitive particle ‘ui’ have the function modify the substantive by being attached to preceding substantive. There are four of conditions based on the presence of ‘ui’ between two substantives. They are the condition of obligatory absence of ‘ui’, arbitrary presence of ‘ui’, and obligatory presence of ‘ui’. Furthermore, these conditions show different aspects between more than three substantives. In this study, oral presentation transcription of Chinese Korean language learners are analysed focusing on errors of presence or absence of genitive particle. As a result, there are rare errors in the conditions of obligatory absence and arbitrary presence of ‘ui’. But in the condition of obligatory presence of ‘ui’, there are relatively lots of errors compared with other conditions. And between more than three substantives, it is showed high error rate approximately 35%. Especially, the errors by deleting ‘ui’ in the condition that they should use it is extremely more than the errors by adding ‘ui’ in the condition of absence or ellipsis. It is assumed because Chinese learners are not familiar in using particles of Korean influenced by their native language. These results tells us it is important to teach Chinese learners the conditions of presence or absence of ‘ui’.
