This study aims to investigate selection attributes of the exhibition venue focused on exhibitor and to suggest ways to improve KME(Korea MICE Expo) in the future.
The study conducted on-site surveys from 9th June to 10th in 2016 and collected 97 valid samples for analysis. In order to derive the results, literature review and IPA were used. According to this results, it was found that organizer and exhibitor have different importance on selection attributes of the exhibition venue. In IPA results, ‘total cost spent’ and ‘convenient transportation to the venue’ were located in the fourth quadrant which should be urgently improved. Based on the items in the fourth quadrant, the implications are presented.
This study is meaningful in that contrary to the previous study, which was centered on the organizers, it was the importance of selecting the exhibition venues centered on exhibitors. Also, it was evaluated ‘2016 KME’ and suggested marketing plans for improvement. For further research, it is necessary to develop indicators that can measure the selection attributes of the exhibition venue more precisely and provide detailed implication.
