The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of pilates exercise on body composition and isokinetic trunk muscle strength in obese college women. Female students(women=24) in pilates program for 12 weeks. They were training for three times per week. Statistical Data was processed by SPSS(Windows Version 12.0) using descriptive statistics regarding the physical characteristics of subjects as well as each variables(body composition, isokinetic trunk muscle strength). The difference of within and between in two group was analyzed repeated measures ANOVA, significant level was set a=.05. The results were as follows: Body composition, there was significant difference according to the measurement, Isokinetic trunk muscle strength, there was significant difference according to the measurement. As a result, the 12 weeks of pilates exercise brought the positive effects on the changes in body composition and isokinetic trunk muscle strength of obese college women.
