This study tried to find out what effect the Pilates Reformer exercise had on adult women by dividing them into an exercise group and a non-exercise group on changes in body composition and abdominal muscle strength. Exercise was concluded based on the results of comparative analysis of each variable after exercising for 90 minutes a day twice a week. First, In the exercise group through the Pilates Reformer exercise, the weight, BMI, body fat percentage, and abdominal fat percentage decreased and muscle mass increased in body composition items. Second, In the exercise group through the Pilates Reformer exercise, there were significant changes in abdominal length and number of contour lines in abdominal muscle strength change. In summary, it was found that a total of 24 weeks of Pilates Reformer exercise for adult women had direct and indirect effects on body composition and abdominal muscle strength. It is expected that a greater effect can be seen if the equipment Pilates exercise is performed in parallel with muscle strength, aerobic exercise, and diet therapy. Since the causes of obesity are diverse, it should be managed in terms of treatment and prevention through accurate evaluation, and stable and effective research should be conducted by considering the intensity, time, and frequency of exercise suitable for body composition and abdominal muscle strength.
