This research conducted a survey of 441 students from two physical high schools in G province to analyze the effects of servant leadership of highschool PE teachers on the students" creativity.
First, in terms of difference in servant leadership according to demographic characteristics of the participating students, gender made a statistically meaningful difference in all the sub-factors of servant leadership. Grade made a statistically meaning difference in Respecting Members, Member Growth and Providing Certainty Sports type in Member Growth and Sense of Unity Track records in Member Growth and Exercising Leadership Teacher’s age in Respecting Members. Sports career did not make a statistically meaningful difference in all the sub-factors.
Second, in terms of difference in creativity of the participating students’ demographic characteristics, gender made a statistically meaningful difference in Creative Motivation and Creative Ability Grade in Creative Motivation and Creative Attitude Sports career in Creative Attitude Sports type in Creative Ability. On the other hand, track records and teacher’s age did not make any difference in all of the sub-factors.
Third, in terms of the impacts of PE teachers’ servant leadership on the participating students’ creativity, Respecting Members, a sub-factor of servant leadership affected all of the sub-factors of Creativity. Member Growth affected Creative Attitude; Sense of Unity affected Creative Motivation and Creative Attitude; Providing Certainty impacted Creative Ability. Exercising Leadership did not make any difference in any sub-factor.
