Report Errors

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of authentic leadership on positive psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior. A convenience sample of 250 flight attendants from airline industry was surveyed and 203 usable questionnaires were analyzed. According to the literature review, positive psychological capital was divided into the following variables: ‘self-efficacy’, ‘hope’, ‘resiliency’, ‘optimism". The findings of the study were as follows. First, authentic leadership positively influenced all of positive psychological capital variables. Second, ‘self-efficacy’, ‘hope’, ‘resiliency’ influenced organizational citizenship behavior while ‘optimism" did not. Third, authentic leadership positively influenced organizational citizenship behavior The theoretical and practical implications were discussed within the contexts of airline industry. The contribution and limitation of this research were discussed and the future possible researches were mentioned.
