The purpose of this study is to investigate whether ‘gender discrimination’ exists towards female fans and whether this ‘discrimination’ impacts the spectatorship of female fans in baseball. A total of eight 8 female baseball fans who were highly involved in the baseball fan culture were interviewed using an inductive reasoning approach with two voice recordings over the time of three months. To analyze the collected data, content analysis, thematic analysis and triangulation methods were used for trustworthiness. The results of this study identified: 1) the females have experienced the perspective of gender discrimination from the society, however 2) such experience forced the female fans to be more actively engaged in developing their identity as a loyal baseball fan. In conclusion, In all, a gender discrimination of female fans has made them to unite together and they have acted as a key role in
