Purpose: The purpose of this study is to understand the decision factors of the participating in producers’ organizations and experiences of actually participating in producers’ organizations of farmer in rural areas. Methods: This study used a structural survey to grasp the decision factors of participating in producers’ organizations. Then, qualitative data were collected through an in-depth interview, and Colaizzi’s phenomenological analysis was conducted. Results: Farmers who participated in producers’ organizations felt ‘skeptical about farming where it’s busy to make a living’, and were ‘exploring multilateral information to overcome reality’. Also, they joined a producers’ organization in order to overcome ‘the doubling pain’, and to ‘receive some help’. Furthermore, they felt ‘thankful and sympathy to the leaders who has to take responsibility for multiple roles’. Conclusion: Firstly, the members’ volunteer learning is a prerequisite of the organization process of production, and internally stable farming education is required. Secondly, the management efficiency of farmer participating in producers’ organizations should be diagnosed, and an improvement strategy should be established as well. Thirdly, through the local government’s establishment of regulations, a supportive method should be built in order to solve problems of insufficient agricultural man power. Fourthly, in order to fulfill the expectations of the members of the organizations on the multiple roles of the leader, a social capital should be formed based on a leadership enhancement program and the trust of the members.
