This thesis is the study on Literary Acceptance of historical background and its meaning in 〈Seonghyeongongsukryeolgi〉. The historical background of the text is the revolt of Jeungnan and the revolt of King Han in the era of Ming Dynasty. These two revolts aimed that uncles wanted to kill their nephews and take the crown. Nevertheless, the Lim family didn"t accept the revolt of King Han although they accepted the revolt of Jeungnan. They said the important thing was the personality and capability of the revel.
I clarify, however, the adopted son of the Lim family was chosen not only good character and capability, but also the birth order. The real son of the Lim family was expelled because he was late in birth order. The family didn"t accept that the second son succeed to the late first son. This point of view means the family attach much importance to have a prosperous family, take this kind of viewpoint, like 〈Wanwolhyemaeng yeon〉. And the family cotton to much importance to birth order is 〈Sanglyloksosambong〉.
As a result, it looked families to choose the successor according to the personality and capability in the history, but the birth order was real barometer. Apparently this is due to the way someone is wounded, he wound up with poison is also frequently attacked the families again. Since Older brother killed younger brother after him in Royal family, Lim family outranks Royal family.
Peculiarly successor led the members of the House, with generosity and tolerance will go to the House to show that flourished.
