The purpose of this study was Garlic and Black Garlic Ingestion on the After Maximal Exercise, Fatigue Recovery and Total Antioxidant Capacity. The volunteers for this study were 12 male university students. Primary tests were examined of VO(2)max of each subject by graded exercise test using Bruce protocol. Each of 6 subjects was divided 2 groups (GG, BGG) by matched method based on VO(2)max. For the secondary tests, the groups of subjects were taken their materials before and after exercise as a blind test. After the ingestion, subjects were experimented of graded exercise test, using Bruce protocol, by treadmill until the all-out. The results of this experiment were obtained by using SPSS 12.0 statistics package, and the average (M) and standard deviation (SD) were calculated by Independent and Paired t-test. The subsequent results were as follows; 1) BGG group was maintained the longest of exercise exhaustion time. There, however, was no significant changes of each other (p>.05). 2) In all the tested groups, BGG group showed the lowest heart rate of rest and playing exercise. There, however, was no significant changes of each other (p>.05). 3) As a result of each respiratory variables (VO(2), VCO(2), VO(2)max, RER, VE, RR) by intake, There, however, was no significant changes of each other (p>.05). 4) GG group was maintained the low of blood lactate. There, however, was no significant changes of each other (p>.05). 5) GG group was maintained the longest of exercise exhaustion time. After exercise, the data showed the significant changes of time period (p<.05). In conclusion, the prior to exercise and intake of after garlic and black garlic reach some positive effect to the Total Antioxidant Capacity. Therefore, effects as an ergogenic aid through the complex ingestion of Garlic and Black Garlic need obvious by further studies.
