The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of cooperative learning on junior high school student`s affective domains, perceived social support and self-esteem. the teacher used STAR during 5-weeks and then TGT during 5weeks as cooperative learning structure. The subjects of the research were 246 junior high school students in the 2nd grades ; 122 were male and 124 were female. Perceived social support and self-esteem was measured 3 times at pretest, at STAD finished, at TGT finished. The finding revealed through this study are : first, perceived social support and general self-esteem are significantly increase each cooperative learning structure. second, male students` group had significantly higher score than female group in perceived social support and female students` group significantly higher score than male group in self-esteem. third, perceived social support wasn`t changed at STAD during 5-weeks finished, and was changed significantly at 10-weeks, finished TGT during 5-weeks. conclusively, cooperative learning is effective way in developing student affective domain.
