Taekwondo is a kind of the suitability martial arts of physical education object including our nation property with authority and value. This study`s purpose is to investigate about a cognition of Taekwondo and participation desire of Middle school students and it wants to offer efficiency and effective of Taekwondo education. For this study, using the research data, 910`s questionnaires are distributed boys and girls Middle school students in Su-won, Kyoung-ki Do. A Research tool is based of Lee Ja-young, Yang Myong-suk, Jang Hyun-min, Mon Chi-young`s questionnaires, as it make some revisions and complementary measures in questions, it is composed of 46 questions, 7 question of an individual character, 22 questions of a cognition of Taekwondo and 17 questions of participation desire. Data analysis method of this study are reliability analysis, ANOVA, pearson correlation method. That results is the following. 1. In a degree of cognition of Taekwondo(M=3.51) is high but a field of cognition is negative cognition(M=2.33). According to sex, boys are more higher then girls. Especially in technical area, boys appeared very remarkable then girls. According to grade, in order of first grade, third grade, second grade are appeared. And training experienced students of Taekwondo is upward. Especially in technical area, it is far better than that of the other side. If blank time is shorter and shorter, the cognition is upward. According to experienced place, it is appeared in a gymnasium training experienced students are have big difference in technical area than school experienced students. 2. Participation desire of Taekwondo is negative cognition (M=2.9f;) but a section of a mental action (M=3.95) and a section of a definition came out higher desire. According to sex, participation desire different girls between boys, boys take more higher then girls. And as grade, in order of first grade, third grade, second grade are appeared. And as participation desire of Taekwondo, training experienced students is upward. Especially in technical area, it is far better than that of the other side. If blank time is shorter and shorter, participation desire is upward. According to experienced place, participation desire is appeared in a gymnasium training experienced students are have big difference in technical area than school experienced students. 3. If the cognition of Taekwondo is high, paticipation desire is high also. Totally review of study, having high educational value, Taekwondo teaching is required school physical education system, social physical education also interesting program development for participation desire and Taekwondo`s sports dimension reinforcement.
