The purpose of this study is to compare the impact of perceived identification in each Taekwondo dimension in Korea and China. This study investigated the impact of each characteristic of Taekwondo on identification and the impact of identification on loyalty by stipulating the characteristics of Taekwondo, gymnasium, and master, which constitute 5-dimension of Taekwondo. For this study, data were collected from Shanghai, Beijing, and Tsingtao in China where Taekwondo is widely spread and from Gangnam and Gangbuk area in Korea. Data collection was carried out between February and March in 2007. Survey is conducted among Taekwondo trainees who are over the age of 10: elementary, middle school, and high school students. 500 Questionnaires in Korea and 250 questionnaires in China each were distributed, and a total of 733 samples were collected. Unfaithful responses were excluded and a total of 688 samples were used for the final data analysis, 449 from Korea and 239 from China. This study divided the dimension of Taekwondo into Taekwondo, gymnasium, and master. The characteristics of Taekwondo were measured by 7 trait categories-mental development, elevation of mental power, physical development, order consciousness, positive attitude, positiveness, and right attitude. The characteristics of gymnasium was measured by 3 items-customer management, training method, and facility. The characteristics of master was measured by intimacy of training method, the clarity of coaching, and eagerness of training method. Identification and loyalty each were measured by 3 items and 4 items by considering previous research.
