The fundamental research is required in order to preventinterpretation errors due to the incorrect facts. The various children’s books and texts of individual writers that we encounter are not reliable and their chronological lists are not fixed as a standard. The reference pages of 「Aceriphyllum rossii and Little star」 represent these problems. 「Aceriphyllum rossii and Little star」 was treated as a very important piece of work in the aspect of history of children’s literature thus the problems occurred due to the distortion of the facts are very great. This study intended to correct the important errors in the history of children’s literature by meticulously examining the references of 「Aceriphyllum rossii and Little star」 . By many scholars, 「Aceriphyllum rossii and Little star」 by Ma, Hae-Song has been emphasized as the first creative fairy tale of Korea that was published in 『The morning star』 in 1923. However, it is not true. Since it has not been successful to acquire 『The morning star』 until now, it is reasonable to draw an inference based on other histories regarding the reference. According to the author, 「The mom’s present」 and 「Aceriphyllum rossii and Little star」 were first stated orally to the children. As the textual forms, 「The mom’s present」 was published in 『The morning star』 in 1923 and 「Aceriphyllum rossii and Little star」 was published in 『Children』 in 1926. This is what the author had been constantly insisting but the author changed his words since 「Aceriphyllum rossii and Little star」 was praised more highly in the future. Considering the circumstances, it is not correct to state 「Aceriphyllum rossii and Little star」 as the first creative fairy tale. It is not proven by the actual evidence, and it distorts the flows of the creative fairy tales in the forming period. The basic researches reorganizing the inaccurate chronologies and literary histories are critical tasks given to the scholars of children’s literature.
