This study explores methodology of Christian religious education for intercultural communication as a reflecting educational method in cultural diversity. The main contents of this paper are described as the following.
First, the cultural flow forces Christian educators and participants to be fluent in intercultural discourse. Christian religious educators should seek pedagogical methodologies based on the tools of cultural studies, in order to promote this intercultural communication.
Secondly, it is analyzed that Walter J. Ong proposes stages of communication media (oral, literate, and secondary oral) and Robert S. Fortner reflects the development of communication technology and cultural change.
Finally, it is affirmed that all religious education experience is inherently intercultural. In this intercultural experience all practitioners are bearers of cultural differentiation. In relation to this, it is examined that Hosffman Ospino seeks to provide some directions for an intercultural perspective of Christian education in culturally diverse contexts. And Boyung Lee suggests three educational strategies for Christian educators to create intercultural pedagogy.
It is expected that this intercultural approach to Christian context provides insightful methodologies to develop intercultural communicative discourse.
