This paper has a purpose to analyse the policies of Korea, Japan and China toward Russian Far East(RFE). Russia’s Far East region, the biggest Russian federal region, accounts for nearly 40 percent of the total territory, but its socio-economic development has lagged far behind the average national level. Russia’s high-level leadership in recent years set the firm resolve to prioritize the Far East development as the most preferable development guide line principle, and the Russian Federal Government in late 2009 issued “the Scio-economic Development Strategy of the Far East and the Baikal Area prior to 2025”, and proposed for a “hastening” development over the next 15 years to heighten its GDP growth rate by 0.5 percent above the average national level. The Russian federal government has decided to convene the APEC Economic Leaders Informal Meeting in Vladivostok in 2012 and planned to establish special economic zones in order to provide the most favorable conditions for investment projects for both Russia and foreign corporations. Northeast China and the Russian Far East Area has always been an important region for bilateral economic cooperation. In 2009, leaders of China and Russia ratified the Action Plan to implement the China-Russia Treaty of Friendship, Good-neighborliness and cooperation (2009-2012). They also approv ed the cooperation and planning program for northeast China and Russia’s Far East and Ea stern Siberia Area in the year, and this shows the resolve of both neighboring nations for e nhancing coordination to invigorate or rejuvenate northeast China and Russia’s Far East, so as to make the regional cooperation a new luminance spot and vital prop for the bilateral partnership. Japan is very cautious on in her approaching to the RFE, but Japanese government leads to direction of policy for a long time, especially in the new future industry like green and nuclear energy etc., Evidently, Japanese government trying to cooperate with Russia in the fields of their comparative superiority for the purpose of achieving real benefits. Korea has to develop her own strategy toward RFE and to consider RFE as an independent factor or an area in Northeast Asia. Then, it should be introduced what is real beneficial interests between Korea and Russia for the present and the future.
