Recently, the PES-based system has been applied to safety-related to system. In case of the control system for the traffic in intersection, the probability of collision accident is high when pass signals are indicated concurrently. The PES-based system has been used on the train control system and electronic relay system in railroad. Because those systems are related to the safety, the accident is caused by the failure of those systems. To guarantee safety is important to apply the PES to the safety-related to system. This growth in use of computer based controls has stimulated a need for careful assessment of product safety concerns which may result from the use of software and electronic hardware. When software is combined with hardware to create a programmable system or product, the ability to assure conformity safety through testing and certification becomes more complex. Existing techniques are not reliable to detect software failures, as new hazards can result from software errors which could not occur with traditional products and technology. Various methods such as the multiple system and comparison system between input and output are proposed to guarantee safety of the PES-based system. There are the double systems used for bus synchronism, double and triple systems used for phase difference. In this paper, the optimal method in the multiple systems is suggested.
