Literature of the common people reflects people's life and the ways of thought including sentiments specified in certain period. Through the iambic verses, the folks transmit their desires and their own experiences, explain their joys and sorrows, and describe social institutions and natural phenomena in the form of singing. In another word, the folk iambic verses seem to be considered as reappearance of everyday life, purification of sentiments, and realization of utopia as well.
Due to its political, social and cultural surroundings, each dynasty also has its own unique characteristics. The fact which the folk Quzici reflects the social phenomena of that period, thoughts, and sentiments of people, we can be sure that it recorded the ideas and realities of that time as being more direct and honest than any other form of literatures as well.
Five hundreds of the folk Quzici were found in Dunhuang 郭煌 as the iambic verses of Tang 唐 Dynasty who took women as its main theme. With its cultural openness, Tang Dynasty was peculiar enough to take notice on social positions of women as relatively higher than in the other dynasties.
In this work, I will look for women's social positions through the analysis of women's life, language, love and other folklores of the folk Iambic verses, and ultimately try to find out the world's view which reflected in it.
