The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents of articles published in the Journal of Korean Research Society of Customs(KRSC) since 2000. Among the total of 443 articles, 210 articles were classified into customs sector and analyzed by using the coding system. The coding system for analysis included the following aspects of research domains, research uses, research topics, research methodologies and researchers groups.
The findings were as follows. The number of articles in the customs practice domain was dominant. 154 articles among the total articles were oriented towards academic uses and the others were towards problem solving. Key issues in the customs articles were the FTA, physical distribution securities and electronic commerce in the viewpoint of customs. In the 177 Articles were adopted the Qualitative approach. According to research methods, descriptive approach was used dominantly in the 44 articles. 98 articles were submitted by college professors and 58 articles were written by co-authors.
