We live in a pluralistic age where Christians should seek how to live an evangelical life. To do so, Christians should pursue the relevance and method of spiritual education. Among scholars who support religious pluralism, Raimundo Panikkar insists that all major religions are linked with the common goal of human salvation. In this regard, the present study makes a critical research on religious pluralism on the basis of an evangelical viewpoint and copes a method of Christian education based on spirituality.
One alternative for the remedy of religious pluralism is to accept the point of Lesslie Newbigin, who rejects religious pluralism and teaches the evangelical message. According to Newbigin, "The cross of Jesus is the place where all imperialism should be surrendered, and also the place where unification of all human beings is possible through the grace and of Jesus's emptying himself."
In addition, it is possible to assert absolute revelation. The reasons are as follows; First, the assertion that there is no absolute one is a mere assertion which cannot be approved. Second, God's revelation appearance in Jesus is not one's subjective experience but can be proved by the witnesses of Jesus's disciples and all believers' experiences throughout the ages. Finally, the criterion to evaluate divine revelation must be found in Jesus who was crucified because of his love for mankind.
While we live in a pluralistic world as a theologian, we need to transmit the uniqueness of Christian gospel in a level of education. The only educational method is spiritual education. Even though the uniqueness of Christian gospel is often rejected in the pluralistic age, the spirituality of God's creation and liberation can be helpful to those who seek to transmit the educational method of living spirituality.
